Week 5 was reduced to a lighter work load while recovering from illness. The first session was skipped entirely, and session three was reduced to 3x3min threshold.
- 25min tempo pace
- 8km endurance/easy
- 5 x 3min threshold, with 90 seconds recovery
- 12km steady
Due to being ill there’s not a lot to write about, I’ll just say that the 3 minute threshold sets were around the target pace of 15km/h and that running seems to aggravate the soreness in throat.
The 12km steady run was a reminder that I should be carrying water when the temperature is over 30 degrees, it was quite uncomfortable toward the end.
