How does this event benefit the community?

This event attracts a huge number of tourists to the city for the weekend. The City of Busselton estimates economic return for the weekend of over $1.25 million dollars!

The Busselton Runners Club will also be donating part proceeds of this event to our charity partner.

Busselton Runners Club is helping the Busselton Triathlon Club purchase a new  trailer to store and transport equipment to any triathlon or training event.

Friends of the Cape to Cape Track

Busselton Runners Club is supporting the work that the Friends of Cape to Cape group do by aiding in the construction of a board walk on the Cape to Cape trail near Moses Rock in order to protect sensitive flora that is currently being damaged.

Busselton Sea Rescue

Our 2016 event raised money to help them purchase a new model “Flir” - Forward Looking Infrared Camera for their rescue boat “BJ Lucy”. This enables them to more efficiently search for vessels in distress in the night hours or in situations of low visibility.
